Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This site is an independent guide to parking at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. It has no accounts, no bookings and no forms — the only personal data involved is what your browser sends when you open a page, plus analytics that run only if you agree to them.

Note for the site operator: the controller details below are a placeholder. Under GDPR Article 13 this policy must name the legal entity or person responsible for the site and give a postal address. Replace the marked section before treating this policy as complete, and have it reviewed if you are unsure.

Who is responsible for your data

Controller: [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME — to be completed]
Address: [POSTAL ADDRESS — to be completed]
Email: contact@airportparkingbudapest.info

What this site collects

1. Server and hosting logs

The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub records requests it serves, which can include your IP address and browser user agent. This happens for every visit and is necessary to deliver the page and keep the service secure and available. See GitHub's privacy statement.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

2. Web fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com and those servers receive your IP address. No cookies are set by these requests.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in presenting the site consistently (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Analytics — only with your consent

If you accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 and Contentsquare. These record how the guide is used so it can be improved. On the parking list that means: which filters you select and clear, which sort order you choose, what you type into the parking search box, which lots you open for detail, and which operator booking links you follow. Alongside that they record pages viewed and how far down the page you scroll. They set cookies on your device and share data with providers outside the EU.

None of this is tied to your name or contact details, and this site does not ask you for either. Following a booking link takes you to the operator's own website, which has its own privacy policy and its own cookies — this site has no control over, and no visibility into, what happens there.

If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, neither script is loaded and neither sets a cookie. Nothing about analytics runs before you choose. Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" by default on every page load.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive). You can withdraw it at any time — see below.

Cookies and local storage

Name Set by Purpose Retention
parkbud:consent
(local storage, not a cookie)
This site Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you are not asked on every page. Strictly necessary; set regardless of your choice because it records your choice. Until you clear your browser storage
_ga, _ga_<id> Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors and sessions for usage statistics. Up to 2 years
_cs_* Contentsquare Session and behaviour analytics. Up to 13 months

The Google Analytics and Contentsquare rows apply only after you accept. If you decline, those cookies are never created, and any left over from an earlier visit are cleared as far as the browser allows.

Change your choice

You can accept or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing stops any further analytics loading and clears the analytics cookies this site can reach.

Checking your current setting…

Who your data is shared with

The site sells nothing and shares nothing for marketing. Data reaches only the service providers needed to run it:

Google and GitHub are based in the United States and may process data there under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Links to parking operators

The guide links to parking operators, the airport, and transport providers. Once you follow a link you are on that company's site, under their privacy policy, not this one. This site receives no commission data or booking details back from them.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or EEA you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Write to contact@airportparkingbudapest.info to exercise any of these.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Hungary this is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), naih.hu.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning airport parking. It does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts using a new service that processes personal data, this page is updated and the date at the top changes. Material changes to analytics will ask for consent again.
